ZIG Design Team Tutorial: Get The Most From Your Kurepunches

Hi Everyone, it's Kim Dellow here on the Kuretake Blog with a little inspiration for getting the most out of your Kurepunches.

Kurepunches come in different sizes and shapes but there is more you can do with them than just punching shapes! I've used Kurepunch Small Mouse and Kurepunch Small Holly to make the background papers for these two cards:

This holly background Christmas card uses the Kurepunch to make a stencil.

Whereas for the 'Hello Cutie' card I've used the Kurepunch to make a mask.

You will need:
White card
Spare card

Use the Kurepunch to punch out the shape from the spare card. For the holly background I kept the card with the shape punched out, this is now my stencil, and discarded the punched-out shape.

Add colour directly to a sponge with the ZIG Art And Graphic Pens. I've used a light green shade first and some Cut n' Dry sponge but you can easily use a make-up sponge for instance.

Hold the holly stencil firmly in place and use the sponge to add the colour.

You can even add a little bit of shading by using a darker shade of green sparingly on one side of the leaf.

So what about the using the punches to make masks?

This time use the punched-out shape and hold it firmly in place and again add colour with the sponge to make your background.

You can always add touch of sparkles with the ZIG Wink Of Stella to finish your makes.

Hope this has inspired you to try making stencils and masks with your Kurepunches!
