Motto madness...

Spanish Design Team member Cuchy Sanchez created this fantastic project for us...

Here are the steps:

1. Start applying a coat of black gesso to a cardboard
2 and 3. With ZIG Painty FX red, paint a frame along the edge.
4. Stamp the text with white gesso.

5. With different colours of ZIG Painty markers (I used red, yellow, clementine, lavender and LT blue) color some of the letters "outside the lines"

6 and 7. Make blots with the ink (pushing down the point of the marker until the ink make a blot) and spritz some water to spread the ink. Let it dry.
8 Stamp the image in white cardstock and glue it with ZIG 2 way glue

What's Moo...

Hi everyone, How cute is the card below? I just had to share it with you all...

Design Team Member Steph Ackerman created this little beauty...

Steph added black ink onto her moo stamp and stamped it onto white paper. Then lightly colored her with ZIG® Brushables in Platinum and Baby Pink.  Once cut Steph mounted the cow on die cuts to emphasize the sentiment, she added it to the card front with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for taking a look at our Kuretake Blog, will be back tomorrow with another post :)

In love with this...

I cannot express to you how much I like this cushion. Even though I'm personally not a pinks and purple kind of gal I find this Zentangle pattern very cool and the colours really complement each other. I must thank Design Team Member  Cecilia Sanchez for sending this to me, THANK YOU. I will make one of my own but for the time being I will tell you how it's done....

All you need to do is cut your white fabric to the shape you would like. Then choose which ZIG fabricolor pens you want to use. Draw your pattern and get colouring in. Once done, iron over the tip with some baking paper underneath, this will set the colours.

Once ironed, sew it together, fill with wadding and then its DONE!

Got an old tin can?

If you need a pot to store those paint brushes, pens and pencils then take a look at snazzy idea that Design Team Member Laurence Colling has come up with.
Here is a step-by-step process of how it's done...

1. Material: ZIG Kurecolor refill ink, Brush writer, ZIG photo signature, tin, embossing folder, duct tape.

 2. Run your duct tape through your embossing machine and add a few drops of ZIG Kurecolor refill ink. Wipe the ink over the duct tape.
 3. On the picture you can see the difference between the duct tape colored with ink (on the left) and without ink (on the right).
4. Cut out squares and glue them on a scrap of paper. I outlined each with the ZIG photo signature pen.

5. Write the word "brush" on a scrap of white paper with the ZIG Brush writer and glue it on top of your squares.

Part 5
Calligraphy on Candles...

Love Calligraphy? Want to produce an inexpensive gift for someone? Then look no further, here we have calligraphy on candles. It's as simple as that :)
To produce this fantastic gift idea then read ahead. In FIVE easy steps you can create the above:

1) Buy a plain candle
2) Get some tissue paper and cut to size of the candle. Then write/draw on the design/wording that you would like. We have used our ZIG Calligraphy Pens, ZIG Calligraphy Metallic pens and Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to create the above design.
3) Once you are happy with the finished design, place it around the candle and then place some tracing paper over the top and scrunch it at the back of the candle. You will hold it in place by holding onto the scrunched area when heating it with the heat gun.
4) Turn on your heat gun and hold it over the paper, you will soon see the ink coming through the paper. When this happens you know your done. Remove the paper and voila.

You can create any design on any candle using our Calligraphy pens, just like this one to the left. It was done with the thinner end of the calligraphy pen in black and red. Or have a go at this 'let it snow' candle below...
